Here’s a list of Jewish organizations that you can hook up with if you’re ever on their campus and what they want you to know about them:

Rohr Chabad Student Network of Ottawa (CSN): is an organization dedicated to provding university students with a strong connection to Judaism. CSN is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa (59 Sweetland Ave.) and services the needs of Jewish students at the University of Ottawa, Carleton University, and Algonquin College, as well as Jewish students attending the area’s public and private high schools. The Chabad house is open to students all times of the day, as students are free to join us for a class, a program or a chat with the Rabbi. Our mission is to reach out to every Jewish young adult and offer them a way to connect to their Jewish roots within a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment. Our programs and services aim to challenge the mind, warm the heart, and touch the soul of each student who passes through our doors. Young adult life can be fraught with challenges, especially the challenge of peer pressure. It’s precisely at this period in a person’s life that questions about the deeper meaning of life begin to surface and lead to self-discovery. CSN is an incredible resource for these young adults who can find answers to questions and add depth to their lives. Holiday celebrations, Shabbat dinners, community service programs, guest lectures, and Jewish studies classes are some of the programs offered through the CSN.
